Jų programą sudaro Dainų šventė, Tautinių šokių šventė, teatro spektakliai, meno ir tautodailės parodos, įvairių atlikėjų koncertai. 

The activities of the Australian/Lithuanian community have most evolved in the field of culture. One of the largest projects are the Australian Lithuanian Days, occurring once every 2 years. The program consists of a Song Festival, a Folk Dance Festival, theatrical performances, art and folk art exhibitions along with various concert performances. Every year, we have a Sports Festival

Scouting
a global phenomenon

Scouting became a wonderful way of gathering our children and teaching the principals of respect for nature, our heritage and for each other.

The Australian/Lithuanianscouting movement bases its principles on the worldwide scouting organisation instituted by Sir Baden Powell in 1908.

The mission of Lithuanian scouting is to provide children of Lithuanian descent a framework in which to build character and grow into responsible citizens through the philosophy of scouting.

With a focus on Lithuanian culture, traditions, and language, using physical as well as intellectual activities, scouting has been an integral part of our youth growing into responsible adults.

About our motherland

Modern day emigres from Lithuania follow career paths and opportunities not always available back in Lithuania. They make up a new style of Australian, bringing with them new cultural connections for our local communities.

Where and what? 

Wedged in between Germany, Poland and Russia, Lithuania has a 99 km coastline along the South-Eastern elbow of the Baltic Sea.

Lithuania’s total land area is 65,200 sq km – not much different to that of Tasmania, yet is populated much more densely: its present population is about 3.2 million.

Lithuanians speak an ancient Indo-European tongue and is a cousin to modern Latvian. Viewed more broadly, Lithuanian is related to Ancient Greek, Latin and Sanskrit which is the oldest known member of the Indo-European family.

Pagrindinės raštvedžio (-ės) funkcijos:

  1. pagal kompetenciją prisideda prie konsulinių funkcijų vykdymo, vadovaujantis Konsulinio statuto 14-42 straipsnių nuostatomis;
  2. teikia informaciją interesantams konsuliniais klausimais, rengia konsulinę informacinę medžiagą, pagal kompetenciją rengia atsakymus į paklausimus;
  3. atsiliepia telefonu, administruoja skambučius;
  4. priima lankytojus, konsulinius dokumentus, tvarko konsulinę korespondenciją;
  5. rengia konsulinius dokumentus, dokumentų projektus;
  6. pagal kompetenciją palaiko ryšius su kitomis institucijomis konsuliniais klausimais;
  7. atlieka konsulinių dokumentų vertimus raštu;
  8. formuoja konsulinių dokumentų bylas, rengia dokumentacijos planą ir tvarko archyvą;
  9. pagal kompetenciją palaiko ryšius su lietuvių bendruomene;
  10. ruošia konsulinius dokumentus siųsti diplomatiniu paštu ir/ar diplomatiniu kroviniu, tvarko diplomatiniu paštu ir/ar diplomatiniu kroviniu gautus konsulinius dokumentus;
  11. prisideda organizuojant atstovybės renginius ir priėmimus;
  12. vairuoja tarnybinę(es) transporto priemonę(es);
  13. veža atstovybės darbuotojus, delegacijas, atstovybės svečius į darbo susitikimus, renginius ir iš jų;
  14. prižiūri tarnybinės(ių) transporto priemonės(ių) techninę būklę, vidaus ir išorės švarą;
  15. prireikus pakrauna ir iškrauna transporto priemonę(es), gabena krovinius į atstovybę ir iš jos;
  16. prireikus padeda pakrauti ar iškrauti transporto priemonę(es), kurioje atvežami kroviniai į atstovybę ir iš jos;
  17. pristato paštą, kvietimus ir dokumentus į įvairias institucijas, įstaigas ir organizacijas ir kt. ir atitinkamai paima iš jų;
  18. dalyvauja sudaromų komisijų veikloje ilgalaikio turto ir atsargų metinėje ir kitoje turto perdavimo inventorizacijoje;
  19. laiku ir atsakingai pildo su transporto priemone(ėmis) ir vairavimu susijusius dokumentus, tvarko transporto priemonės(ių) degalų ir kitų sąnaudinių medžiagų ir ridos apskaitą;
  20. vykdo kitus atstovybės vadovo nenuolatinio pobūdžio tarnybinius pavedimus

The main functions of the clerk(s):

  1. according to competence, contributes to the performance of consular functions, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 14-42 of the Consular Statute;
  2. provides information to interested parties on consular issues, prepares consular information material, prepares answers to inquiries according to competence;
  3. answers the phone, administers calls;
  4. receives visitors, consular documents, handles consular correspondence; prepares consular documents, draft documents;
  5. maintains relations with other institutions in consular matters according to competence;
  6. performs written translations of consular documents;
  7. forms files of consular documents, prepares a documentation plan and maintains an archive;
  8. maintains relations with the Lithuanian community according to competence;
  9. prepares consular documents to be sent by diplomatic mail and/or diplomatic cargo,
  10. handles consular documents received by diplomatic mail and/or diplomatic cargo;
  11. contributes to the organization of representative office events and receptions;
  12. drives official vehicle(s);
  13. transports employees of the representative office, delegations, guests of the representative office to and from work meetings, events;
  14. supervises the technical condition, internal and external cleanliness of the official vehicle(s);
  15. loads and unloads vehicle(s) as necessary, transports cargo to and from the dealership;
  16. if necessary, helps to load or unload the vehicle(s) in which goods are brought to and from the representative office;
  17. delivers mail, invitations and documents to various institutions, bodies and organizations, etc. and accordingly takes from them;
  18. participates in the activities of the established commissions in the annual and other asset transfer inventory of fixed assets and stocks
  19. fills out the documents related to the vehicle(s) and driving in a timely and responsible manner, manages fuel and other consumables and mileage records of the vehicle(s);
  20. carries out other non-permanent official assignments of the head of the representative office

Reikalavimai:

  1. turėti aukštąjį koleginį arba aukštąjį universitetinį ar jam prilygintą išsilavinimą;
  2. mokėti lietuvių kalbą ne žemesniu kaip pažengusio vartotojo lygmens B2 lygiu, anglų kalbą – ne žemesniu kaip įgudusio vartotojo lygmens C2 lygiu;
  3. mokėti dirbti kompiuteriu (MS Office programiniu paketu);
  4. išmanyti raštvedybos, dokumentų tvarkymo ir apskaitos, teisės aktų rengimo, kalbos kultūros taisykles;
  5. gebėti planuoti, organizuoti savo veiklą, analitiškai vertinti ir sisteminti informaciją;
  6. sklandžiai dėstyti mintis raštu ir žodžiu;
  7. būti susipažinus su teisės aktais ir tarptautiniais susitarimais, reglamentuojančiais konsulinę veiklą;
  8. atitikti Lietuvos Respublikos teisės aktuose nustatytus reikalavimus, būtinus suteikiant teisę dirbti ar susipažinti su įslaptinta informacija, žymima slaptumo žyma „Riboto naudojimo“, arba nekelti abejonių dėl asmens patikimumo.

Requirements:

  1. have a higher college or higher university or equivalent education;
  2. know Lithuanian at a level not lower than advanced user level B2, English at a level not lower than proficient user level C2;
  3. be able to work with a computer (MS Office software package);
  4. to know the rules of clerical, document management and accounting, preparation of legal acts, language culture;
  5. to be able to plan, organize one’s activities, analytically assess and systematize information;
  6. fluently convey ideas in writing and orally;
  7. to be familiar with legal acts and international agreements regulating consular activities;
  8. to meet the requirements established in the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania, necessary for granting the right to work or access classified information, marked with the secrecy mark “Restricted use”, or not to raise doubts about the reliability of the person.
